Sarah, this is a lovely blog. Thank you for speaking about TRES and your involvement! I’m so glad that we helped you feel more connected to DC. Thank you again for your hard work researching Afghan organizations in DC. This project is on the back burner as I have yet to find a suitable film for it, but we will have an event highlighting the plight of Afghan refugees and internally displaced. You know, I joined Idealist with exactly the same reason you did many years ago. When TRES was created, I thought Idealist was the perfect place to host our online discussions and to get the word out about what we do. I'm so glad I created an Idealist group. It allowed me to get to know you, Nick, and a few other Idealist members. You are right...Idealist members are optimistic people who want to make a positive impact on our communities and Idealist is one of the best virtual meeting grounds to connect and do this. Be well Sarah!
